HELP WANTED APPRENTICESHIP INSTRUCTOR;
Looking for a candidate to teach the next generation of sprinkler fitters. The apprenticeship class is held Monday and Wednesday nights 6 – 9 pm. Class takes place in our Pawtucket, RI facility with hands on training encouraged. The curriculum used is the Contren Learning Series by NCCER. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years licensed in the trade.
Class covers per year but not limited to:
SPRINKLER FITTING LEVEL ONE:
Orientation to the Trade; Introduction to Components and Systems; Steel Pipe; CPVC Pipe and Fittings; Copper Tube Systems; Underground Pipe.
SPRINKLER FITTING LEVEL TWO:
Hangers, Supports, Restraints and Guides; General Purpose Valves; General Trade Math; Shop Drawings; Standard Spray Fire Sprinklers; Wet Pipe Fire Sprinkler Systems; Dry-Pipe Systems.
SPRINKLER FITTING LEVEL THREE:
Deluge/Preaction Systems; Standpipes; Water Supplies; Fire Pumps; Application-Specific Sprinklers and Nozzles.
SPRINKLER FITTING LEVEL FOUR:
System Layout; Inspection, Testing and Maintenance; Special Extinguishing Systems; Introductory Skills for the Foreman; Procedures and Documentations.
