RI Construction Training Academy also known as ABC School is looking for an Electrical Instructor for the Apprenticeship program. Classes are held at the Pawtucket Facility which includes hands-on training. The school year begins in September and runs through April, 2 nights per week from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.
An Electrical License with a minimum of five years is required along with the desire to teach.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is retired and/or someone that would like to prepare the next generation in the industry.

INTRODUCTORY CRAFT SKILLS: total hours 78
Basic Safety (12 hours); Introduction to Construction Math (15 hours); Introduction to Hand Tools (6 hours); Introduction to Power Tools (6 hours); Introduction to Construction Drawings (12 hours); Introduction to Basic Rigging (9 hours); Basic Communication Skills (6 hours); Basic Employability Skills (6 hours); Introduction to Materials Handling (6 hours).
ELECTRICAL LEVEL ONE: total hours 78
Orientation to the Electrical Trade (3 hours); Electrical Safety (9 hours); Introductory to Electrical Circuits (6 hours); Electrical Theory (6 hours); Introductory to the National Electrical Code (6 hours); Device Boxes (6 hours); Hand Bending (6 hours); Raceways and Fittings (12 hours); Conductors and Cables (6 hours); Basic Electrical Construction Drawings (6 hours); Residential Electrical Services (9 hours); Electrical Test Equipment (3 hours).
