Position is for apprenticeship training instructor at an approved training provider school. The nationally recognized NCCER curriculum is used. Schedule is two (2) evenings per week 6 – 9 pm. Classes to begin 3rd week in September and run until April.
The class will cover the following but not limited to:
ELECTRICAL LEVEL THREE: Load Calculations – Branch and Feeder Circuits; Conductor Selection and Calculations; Practical Applications of Lighting Hazardous Locations; Over current Protection; Distribution Equipment; Transformers ; Commercial Electrical Services; Motor Calculations; Voice, Data and Video; Motor Controls.
ELECTRICAL LEVEL FOUR: Load Calculations – Feeders and Services; Health Care Facilities; Standby and Emergency Systems; Basic Electronic Theory; Fire Alarm Systems; Specialty Transformers; Advanced Controls; HVAC Controls; Heat Tracing and Freeze Protection; Motor Operation and Maintenance; Medium-Voltage Terminations and Splices ; Special Locations; Fundamentals of Crew Leadership; National Electric Code.
Credentials to include minimum 6 years licensed in the trade with teaching experience either in the classroom or on the job. As well as the desire to train the upcoming workforce in the industry.
