Position is for apprenticeship training instructor at an approved training provider school. The nationally recognized NCCER curriculum is used. Schedule is Monday/Wednesday evening 6 – 9 pm. Classes to begin 3rd week in September and run until April.

Careers in the Painting Trade; Safety; Ladders, Scaffolds, Lifts, and Fall Protection; Identifying Surface/Substrate Materials and Conditions; Protecting Adjacent Surfaces; Basic Surface Preparation; Sealants and Repair/Fillers; Introduction to Paints and Coatings; Painting Failures and Remedies; Job Planning and Completion; Chemical Cleaning and Stripping; Low-Pressure Water Cleaning; Abrasive Blasting; Drywall Finishing and patching; Stains; Clear Finishes; Wood Finishing; Coatings Two; Spray Painting; Painting Failures and Remedies Two; Job Supervision Planning, and Control; Coatings Three; Color and Tinting; Decorative (Faux) Finishes; Wall covering; Graphics; Texturing; Spraying with Special Devices; Containment/Ventilation; Industrial Coatings; Quality Inspections; Specialty Materials.
The class to include hands-on training.
Credentials to include 6 years in the trade with teaching experience either in the classroom or on the job. As well as the desire to train the upcoming workforce in the industry.
